Bodies of 4 who went missing in December found in Batangas

Four persons, including three members of the LGBT community, who were reported to be abducted in December, were found dead in a remote area going to Talisay, Batangas, according to Raffy Tima’s report on “24 Oras.”

Authorities first found two of the bodies on Tuesday while the remaining bodies were found when investigators returned to the crime scene on Wednesday morning.

Employees of the Department of Public Works and Highways conducting routine maintenance along the highway discovered the body as they were already emitting foul odor.

The first two bodies were identified as Lino Kinalenta, alias Nicole, and Mark Ian Edrina, alias Erica. They were both members of the LGBT community.

Edrina's sister, Sherly Mae Generelao, said the victim has been missing since December 19 along with Kinalenta after they were picked up by alleged authorities in Bacoor, Cavite.

Generelao said their family was clueless as to the motive of the alleged abduction as the victims had no enemies and were not involved in illegal drugs.

The fourth victim was identified only as alias RR, a barangay councilor in Bacoor.

Generelao urged possible witnesses to come forward.

“Sana naman po kung mayroon pong naka-witness man lang po  . . .sana po maituro man lang po ‘yung mga gumawa nito kasi hindi naman po dapat ito mangyari sa ano namin kasi mabait na tao naman po ‘yun,” she said.

“Hindi naman po ‘yun kriminal. Para lang po mabigyan po sana ng hustisya,” she added.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
