The three passengers who died in the crash—Sergeant Julius Salvador and Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit Active Auxiliaries Jerry Ayukdo and Jhamel Sugalang—were also honored along with the fallen airmen in a Mass.
According to a “24 Oras Weekend” report by Real Sorroche, the remains of four of the fatalities have been flown to Cebu City, while the rest were brought home to Malaybalay, Bukidnon.
“Sa lahat ng magkakapatid, siya ang pinaka-close sa mama niya at mama niya may sakit pa sa puso,” said Marissa Mansaloon, a relative of Sugalang.
Authorities earlier said the helicopter, which was on a resupply mission, crashed due to “engine trouble.”
