Cebu archbishop Palma tests positive for COVID-19

Archbishop Jose Palma has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Archdiocese of Cebu announced Friday.

Archdiocese of Cebu spokesperson Monsignor Joseph Tan said Palma’s COVID-19 test result came back positive on Thursday night.

Palma is confined in a private room at the Perpetual Succour Hospital.

Tan also said the archbishop is experiencing “general fatigue with mild cough.”

“[He] remains in a stable condition. Let us all pray for his steady and speedy recovery,” Tan said.

“The people who have been in close contact with the Archbishop have also been informed about the matter,” he added.—AOL, GMA News
