2 COVID-19 deaths recorded in Bohol
TAGBILARAN CITY – The province of Bohol recorded two latest fatalities from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the total fatalities to 22.
Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez, spokesman of the Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF), said the latest fatalities were senior citizens in Ubay town.
The 60-year-old- female patient, who had pneumonia and diabetes, died while confined at the Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital.
Lopez said she was a COVID positive in the ward even before her death.
The other patient, a 61-year-old man, who worked in a barge at the Ubay Wharf, collapsed at Ubay pier.
He was brought to Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival by the doctor. A swab test showed the man was positive for the new coronavirus.
As of 1 p. m. on March1, Bohol has recorded 1,085 COVID-19 cases.
At least 972 of them have recovered and 22 died. The province still has 91 active cases. -- BAP, GMA News
