2 drug suspects killed in Pangasinan buy bust

Two drug suspects were killed in a buy bust operation in Manaoag, Pangasinan on Friday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Saturday.

In a statement, PNP chief Police General Debold Sinas identified the suspects as Renzeil Sibelius, 32, and Gervin Salbino, 30.

At 10:30 p.m. on Friday, several police units conducted a joint operation in Barangay Oraan East.

According to PNP, Sibelius and Salbino were known to be notorious drug peddlers who were operating around Cordillera, Pangasinan, and Metro Manila.

Recovered from the suspects were a caliber .45 pistol with magazine, a caliber .38 revolver with live ammunition, fired empty shells, a Toyota Innova, and three kilos of suspected dried marijuana leaves worth P360, 000.

“The PNP’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs is pursuant to the government’s vision of a drug/crime-free country,” Sinas said.

"We have been succeeding so far as is manifested by a series of successful police operations. We shall not rest until all criminals are brought to justice” he added. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
