COVID-19 vaccination starts in Bulacan

Vaccination against COVID-19 started among healthcare workers in Bulacan on Monday, according to a report on 24 Oras News Alert.

The first to get vaccinated was Bulacan Medical Center's chief of hospital Dr. Hjordis Marushka Celis, who got Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccine, according to GMA News reporter Darlene Cay.

 

 

 

Two other medical doctors received CoronaVac shots during the symbolic vaccination held at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in Malolos, Bulacan.

NIne hundred frontline healthcare workers were scheduled to get CoronaVac in the province.

The Bulacan provincial government is preparing for the eventual vaccination of non-medical personnel and residents.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. on Friday said the Philippines will prioritize health workers in its vaccination efforts against COVID-19 until two million of them have received shots to protect them from the coronavirus.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country reached 594,412 on Sunday.

Of this number, 545,853 have recovered while 12,516 died. â€”KG, GMA News
