Bohol resort violates health rules during foam party, bikini show

A resort in Panglao, Bohol violated COVID-19 safety protocols during a foam party and bikini show held at the venue.

In the video sent by the GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak, participants are seen partying together without social distancing.

Mayor Leonila Montero admitted to the violation and stated that there would be consequences for the visitors and the resort.

“Ang ordinance natin sa first violation is warning. Mayroon pa tayong in-writing last Monday. May penalties each violator at sa resort, hindi natin bibigyan ng permit,” she said in Sunday’s “24 Oras Weekend.”

The resort had apologized but the mayor stated that from now on, resorts would need a permit if they planned to host parties or events.

Additionally, there would be police and municipal health officers present during these events to prevent the further spread of the virus.

Bohol Governor Arthur Yap, meanwhile, said that the mayor should file a cease and desist order against the resort. He has also requested the police investigate the matter.

To ensure the province’s safety, Yap reminded everyone to follow health and safety protocols. — Franchesca Viernes/DVM, GMA News
