Baguio, Jaro bishops inoculated vs COVID-19 –CBCP

Two bishops received their first dose of vaccines to protect themselves against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP)

The CBCP on Friday posted on social media that Baguio Bishop Victor Bendico and Jaro, Iloilo Archbishop Romeo Lazo were inoculated against the disease.

Bendico was vaccinated last March 19 but the brand was not mentioned.

Meanwhile, Lazo received a dose of vaccine manufactured by British-Swedish drugmaker AstraZeneca on March 15.

"This is one means of preparing himself for the successive pastoral activities he will be undertaking in the Archdiocese of Jaro," the Archdiocese of Jaro's Commission on Social Communications said on Facebook.

A total of 240,297 people were vaccinated since the national government started its mass immunization on March 1, according to the Food and Drug Administration. — DVM, GMA News
