Quezon places 17 towns under GCQ due to rise in COVID-19 cases

Seventeen municipalities of Quezon province were placed under general community quarantine (GCQ) from April 7 to April 21 due to the increase in virus infections, the provincial government announced on Tuesday.

The decision was reached after a meeting of the provincial inter-agency task force against COVID-19.

Here are the following towns under the stricter form of lockdown:

1. San Antonio
2. Infanta
3. Macalelon
4. Candelaria
5. General Nakar
6. Tayabas
7. Dolores
8. Sariaya

9. Lucban
10. Real
11. Pagbilao
12. Tiaong
13. Guinayangan
14. Polillo
15. Mauban
16. Alabat
17. Gumaca

The remaining towns in Quezon that were not mentioned will still be under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), the provincial government also said.

Under GCQ, some industries will not be opened and leisure travel will not be allowed. --NB, GMA News
