Woman found dead in CamSur; authorities suspect rape-slay

A 31-year-old woman, believed to have been raped, was found dead inside her house in Camarines Sur.

GMA News' "Unang Balita" reported Friday that the victim Ressian Dumagat, 31, was found dead bearing a slit in the neck inside her house in Camaligan town.

Dumagat's husband, a soldier, found the victim and immediately reported the incident to the police, the report added.

Authorities suspect the victim was raped before she was killed, based on initial investigation showing that her undergarment was pulled down to her knee as her bloodied body was sprawl on the floor.

Police investigators recovered a cell phone and a charger near her house, and were looking at the possibility that the victim was raped, the report said.

The National Bureau of Investigation will help solve the case, the report added. —LBG, GMA News
