P3.4M worth of shabu seized, suspect arrested in Bulacan

Operatives of the Philippine National Police on Monday seized P3.4 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Malolos, Bulacan, the  Bulacan Provincial Police Office announced on Tuesday.

Bulacan provincial director Police Colonel Lawrence Cajipe said the suspect, identified as Alexander De Naga, was arrested during the operation at Diversion Road, Barangay Mojon at 11:30 p.m.

Authorities retrieved two pieces of knot-tied transparent plastic bags that contained around 500 grams of shabu, a blue box, cellphone, and buy-bust money.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against the suspect.

Meanwhile, the confiscated shabu was brought to the Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination.—Joahna Lei Casilao/AOL, GMA News
