ASF-free Aklan eyes to regulate pork delivery to NCR

Aklan province, which is still free from African Swine Fever, is studying to limit its delivery of pork products to Metro Manila.

In Bernadette Reyes' report on "State of the Nation," Dr. Mabel Sinel of Aklan provincial veterinary office, said they want to regulate delivery of pork supply in markets in the metropolis.

"Our pork supply is adequate for our Aklan consumers. If we don't regulate our delivery of pork supply, pork prices in the province might increase," Sinel said in Filipino.

Meanwhile, Sorsogon province reported that ASF was detected in Bayan ng Gubat.

The provincial veterinary office of Sorsogon said it is also monitoring other municipalities for ASF.
