Woman allegedly hires gunmen to kill partner who harassed daughter

A woman who allegedly hired gunmen to kill her live-in-partner because he  harassed her daughter was arrested in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

According to JP Soriano’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” 49-year-old Teddy Villegas was shot dead while sleeping at the home he shared with the suspect and her children from her first spouse.

“Ayun sa suspect, kaya niya nagawa ‘yun dahil allegedly, ito daw pong si Teddy, ang biktima, minomelestya ‘yung kaniyang step-daughter,” Police Lieutenant Colonel Armie Agbuya, Santo Tomas Police, said.

(According to the suspect, the reason why she did it was because Teddy, allegedly, molested his step-daughter.)

The suspect claimed that the victim had been secretly taking pictures of her daughter while sleeping.

“‘Yung pangbabastos niya sa anak kong babae. Palagi po niya itong— matagal na po niya itong binubusohan. Kailan ko lang ito nalaman. At mismong anak kong babae ang nakakuha ng ebidensya na gabi-gabi, siyang pinipicturan sa kaniyang pagtulog sa kwarto.

(He harassed my daughter. He always— He’s been peeking at her for a long time. I only found out recently. My daughter herself obtained evidence that he took pictures of her every night.)

“’Yun ang aking naisip kasi hindi ko alam kung saan ba ako tatakbo. Alam kong mali, pero huli na. Kaya ako’y, nagsisisi naman ako,”

(This is the solution I thought of because I didn’t know what else to do. I know it was wrong, but it was too late. I regret everything.)

Four other individuals were arrested. Two were the gunmen who pointed at the suspect as the mastermind, and two others who acted as middlemen in planning the crime.

The suspects are in jail and will face murder charges. — Joahna Lei Casilao/DVM, GMA News
