A Land Bank of the Philippines branch in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan was closed on Thursday, after receiving a bomb threat earlier in the day.

According to LandBank, the San Jose del Monte branch received the threat via email from an unknown sender at around 10 a.m.

The lender said it reported the threat to the local Philippine National Police (PNP), and personnel and clients were evacuated from the branch.

A bomb squad investigated the building and has since cleared the area from any explosives or threats, but the bank was closed for the full day for investigation.

Operations of the said branch will resume on Friday, June 4, with the lender coordinating with local police for additional security.

"While LandBank continues to be on high alert, we assure the public that this matter is being taken very seriously because the safety of our clients and personnel remains our utmost priority," it said.
