Resto-bar in Cebu found violating health and safety protocols

Authorities raided a resto-bar in Cebu City for violation of health and safety protocols.

Physical distancing was not observed and the resto-bar was operating beyond the curfew, authorities said, according to a report on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday.

The staff and customers were brought to a gym where they were given citation tickets and made to pay a fine of P500 each.

During the processing, tension arose between a violator and one of the government personnel.

A foreigner also complained that he had to wait for two hours in line just to pay the fine.

Customers who could not pay the fine were ordered to render eight hours of community service.
