In a statement, the BJMP XI said the 21 grams of shabu concealed in the basketball worth P300,000.

During a regular jail activity on Saturday, duty searchers heard the basketball make a loud thump on the roof of the jail facility. It rolled on the roof and landed near the searching area.

The basketball was cut up and contained an object  wrapped with electrical tape.

Upon the instruction of the Warden, the Officer of the Day inspected the ball and discovered six sachets of white crystalline substance, which was later confirmed as methamphetamine or shabu.
