Cebu restobar closed down over alleged health protocol violations

A restobar in Barili town in Cebu has been temporarily closed down due to violations of minimum health protocols against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to Allan Domingo’s report on “24 Oras,” a viral video showed a group of individuals partying on Saturday without following social distancing measures and not wearing face masks.

Barili Mayor Julieto Flores said it was clear that health protocols were violated, leading him to issue a temporary closure order while investigators look into the incident.

Malinaw na mayroong violation,” Flores said.

The uploader of the video will also be called to submit an affidavit.

Meanwhile, the restobar owner said they were unable to stop the surge of guests as it suddenly rained that night.
