Zamboanga City probes entry of foreigners without swab test results

The local government of Zamboanga City is looking into how several foreigners were able to enter the city without presenting swab test results.

A report on Unang Balita on Tuesday said some of these foreigners later on tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Mayor Beng Climaco, the foreigners were part of the delegation of the International Monitoring Team that are based in the Western Mindanao Command.

The report said Climaco has already talked to Lieutenant General Corleto Vinluan Jr., commander of the Western Mindanao Command, regarding the matter.

The COVID-19 cases among the foreigners have already been brought to an isolation facility together with their security personnel who were their close contacts. —KBK, GMA News
