Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez tests positive for COVID-19

Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez announced over the weekend that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

(Part of our job as a public servant is meeting many people every day. This is probably why, despite precautions, I tested positive for COVID-19.)

Hernandez said he received the test result on Saturday.

He is currently on home quarantine and experiencing only mild symptoms.

The governor assured his constituents that despite his illness, the provincial government remains operational.

He added that he is working from home.

(Despite this, I assure everyone that the operation and service of the Provincial Government of Laguna will continue even if I am working from home.)

The governor said he is in touch with the police provincial director, the provincial administrator, and department heads of the provincial government to ensure that important tasks are carried out.

Hernandez also appealed to his constituents to pray for his recovery, follow health protocols and get vaccinated if possible. —KG, GMA News
