3-month baby dies after father hits him with feeding bottle

A 3-month baby has died in Cotabato City after his father hit him with a feeding bottle.

According to a report on “State of the Nation,” the 20-year-old suspect said he was forced to wake up at Thursday midnight to make a baby formula.

He said he became irritated because of the baby’s cries, causing him to hit him with a feeding bottle. The baby’s face became swollen and he sustained bruises.

The suspect expressed regret over his action.

Though he stressed that he was not drunk nor did he take drugs, he did not deny abusing his wife at times.

Police will place the suspect undergo a drug test.

The suspect is now detained and is facing a charge of parricide.  -- BAP, GMA News
