Naga City records 1,578 active COVID-19 cases —DOH Bicol

Naga City has recorded a total of 1,578 active COVID-19 cases, the Department of Health in Bicol reported Tuesday.

Interviewed at the Laging Handa briefing, Dr. Aurora Teresa Daluro, chief regional epidemiologist of DOH Bicol, said of the total active cases, 1,472 are cumulative cases, of which four asymptomatic cases were added.

There were a total of 3,068 mild cases, with three additional cases.

There were 242 cumulative moderate cases, also with three additional cases.

There were 123 cumulative severe cases, and 36 critical cases with an additional one new case.

Daluro said the risk classification for Naga City from October 3 to 9, and from October 10 to 16, were both "high."

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) approved placing Naga City under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until October 31. —KG, GMA News
