Cebu City allows entry of fully vaccinated persons sans COVID-19 test

Cebu City government on Monday loosened its requirements for inbound travelers who are fully vaccinated as the locality was placed under Alert Level 2, which reopens more businesses and economic activities.

In its directive, the local government scrapped the mandatory COVID-19 tests for all fully vaccinated persons entering and or bound for Cebu City, whether through seaport or airport.

Travelers need only present a valid identification document/ proof of identity bearing the holder's picture and signature, as well as an official vaccination card with a QR code.

Meanwhile, for unvaccinated individuals and those with incomplete vaccination, a negative RT-PCR test result must be submitted.

Cebu City said it accepts negative RT-PCR results taken within the last 72 hours, negative antigen test taken within the last 48 hours, and negative saliva test results taken within the last 48 hours.

The locality, likewise, said it only accepts testing results conducted by Department of Health accredited laboratories. — DVM, GMA News
