P20K bonus awaits Cebu City Hall employees but only if all them are vaccinated vs. COVID-19

Employees of Cebu City Hall will receive a P20,000 bonus this Christmas season provided that all of them are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, an Unang Balita report said Tuesday.

The report said Acting Mayor Michael Rama made the announcement during Monday's flag-raising ceremony.

“No release of bonus until we can see all have been fully vaccinated,” Rama said.

“Kaya iyong mga fully vaccinated tulad namin, ang aming gagawin, mag-encourage kami sa mga hindi bakunado. Dahil kung hindi kami mag-encourage, eh ‘di wala kaming bonus,” he added.

(That's why those who are fully vaccinated like us will encourage those who have yet to be vaccinated. Because if we don't do that, we'll not get the bonus.)

According to the Department of Health, 368,317 individuals out of the 481, 299 eligible population have been fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 in Cebu City. --Jiselle Anne Casucian/KBK, GMA News
