Ilocos Norte drops swab test rule for fully vaxxed visitors from alert levels 1 to 3

Fully-vaccinated tourists from Alert Levels 1 to 3 will no longer be required to present their swab tests prior to entry to Ilocos Norte starting December 1, the provincial government announced.

In a statement, the provincial government said travelers from areas with such quarantine status would only need to present their valid vaccination card, and to comply with health checks upon arrival.

However, unvaccinated tourists, partially vaccinated, and those coming from Alert Level 4 will be required to take any of the following tests: RT-PCR taken within 72 hours; antigen test within 24 hours; or an antigen test upon arrival.

Visitors will have to register at https://ilocosnorte.ph. They should present their valid IDs, confirmed booking from the accredited accommodation or local travel agency, and the individual QR code.

Ilocos Norte on Thursday recorded 67 active COVID cases with three new cases. There were four new recoveries and one death. —LBG, GMA News
