Pope Francis has postponed his plan to visit Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI at Castel Gandolfo this Thursday. According to a GMA News TV Live Thursday night report, the deferment was confirmed by Vatican spokesman Frederico Lombardi. However, Lombardi also said the two did manage to speak over the phone. Pope Francis has a set schedule before his installation on March 19. On Friday, 12 a.m. Philippine time, he will celebrate a mass at the Sistine Chapel. At 6 p.m., he will meet with all the cardinals. On Saturday, 6 p.m., he will meet with the news organizations that covered his election. On Sunday, 7 p.m., he will lead, for the very first time as pope, the Angelus prayers. Also, Pope Francis is expected to soon choose the Vatican's new secretary of state. — DVM, GMA News
