Worldwide coronavirus cases reach 23.31 million, death toll at 805,075
More than 23.31 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 805,075 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
The United States had the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases at 5,685,990. The death toll in the US was at 176,355.

The US was followed by the following:
- Brazil: 3,582,362 cases; 114,250 deaths
- India: 3,044,940 cases; 56,706 deaths
- Russia: 951,897 cases; 16,310 deaths
- South Africa: 607,045 cases; 12,987

The Philippines, meanwhile, was 22nd on the list with 189,601 cases of COVID-19. The death toll was at 2,998. —Reuters
