Worldwide coronavirus cases reach 28.87M, death toll at 920,475 —Reuters tally

More than 28.87 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 920,475 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
   
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The US has the most number of coronavirus cases at 6,501,313. Its death toll is 193,755.

• India: 4,754,356 cases and 78,586 deaths

• Brazil: 4,315,687 cases and 131,210 deaths
• Russia: 1,057,362 cases and 18,484 deaths
• Peru: 722,832 cases and 30,593 deaths

The Philippines is 21st on the list with 261,216 cases and 4,371 deaths. —Reuters
