Worldwide coronavirus cases reach 34.35M, death toll at 1,019,308 —Reuters tally

More than 34.35 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 1,019,308 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
   
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The US leads with 7,260,393 cases and 207,060 deaths.

It was followed by:

• India: 6,394,068 cases and 99,773 deaths

• Brazil: 4,847,092 cases and 144,680 deaths
• Russia: 1,194,643 cases and 21,077 deaths
• Colombia: 835,339 cases and 26,196 deaths

The Philippines is still 20th on the list with 316,678 cases and 5,616 deaths. —Reuters
