White House chief of staff says Trump is doing very well

WASHINGTON - White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said on Saturday that President Donald Trump is doing "very well" and that doctors are pleased with his vital signs.

"The president is doing very well. He is up and about and asking for documents to review. The doctors are very pleased with his vital signs. I have met with him on multiple occasions today on a variety of issues," Meadows told Reuters.

Trump was airlifted to a military hospital

on Friday, where the White House says he will stay for "the next few days" for COVID-19 treatment.

Trump was given a single dose of Regeneron's antibody cocktail, said Conley.

Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said the President was receiving the anti-viral drug remdesivir following consultation with specialists.

Trump will continue working while undergoing treatment at the hospital, McEnany said.

Trump disclosed on Friday that he and First Lady Melania tested positive for COVID-19. Reuters
