Worldwide coronavirus cases cross 77.41 million, death toll at 1,704,703

More than 77.41 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 1,704,703? have died, according to a Reuters tally.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The top five countries with the most number of cases are:

1. United States - 319,644 deaths out of 17,998,770 cases
2. India - 146,111 deaths out of 10,075,116 cases
3. Brazil- 187,291 deaths out of 7,263,619 cases
4. Russia - 51,912 deaths out of 2,906,503 case

5. France - 60,900 deaths out of 2,479,151 cases

In the Philippines, the cases have reached 462,815 on Thursday while the total recoveries rose to 399,325 and the death toll also climbed to 9,021. -Reuters with GMA News
