In a special menswear-themed installment of her weekly beauty and styling segment “S-List” on the GMA News TV fashion show “Fashbook,” host Solenn Heussaff recommended three looks that fashion-forward guys can try: a preppy K-pop inspired look, a grunge rock look, and a semi-formal look worthy of a “meet the parents” lunch.

For the preppy K-pop dude

Start with the traditional preppy look of Hamptons-inspired sleek clothes in light muted colors. Pair a light colored pair of pants with a slightly brighter button down polo. To give this look a K-Pop twist, add a splash of color.  Instead of wearing a neutral colored sweater over the polo, opt for a louder, brighter one. Finish this look with a matching pair of colorful statement shoes.

For the grunge rocker

This look is perfect for guys with a more edgy, rebellious style. To pull of this look, start with a pair of acid-washed jeans. Pair with studded shoes and a collared shirt bearing rocker-themed prints like skulls. A dark jean jacket or hoodies will complete this look.

For the trendy boy next door

This look is a formal yet trendy take on the classic boy-next-door look, perfect for guys who are fashion conservative but willing to update their style. According to Solenn, this is her personal favorite and suggests this look for family lunches and dates.

Start with casual sleek pants in a slightly light neutral color, and pair it with a long sleeved button down collared shirt in a darker color. Over that, you can wear a blazer in a light color to tone down the dark shirt and to add a fresh, casual, and laid-back vibe to the look. Finish the look with a pair of neutral-colored shoes.
