Our planet is in constant motion: death-defying dramas playing out every day across land, sea, and sky, trillions of creatures moving because their lives depend on it.
Filmed in more than 20 countries, across a three-year period and using new, cutting-edge technology, National Geographic’s “Great Migrations”, one of the most astounding wildlife programs ever made, airs on GMA News TV every Sunday, starting on May 19.
With narration in Filipino by award-winning documentarist Kara David, this series starts with the episode “Born to Move”, which reveals four of the most remarkable animal movements: sperm whales travelling over a million miles in a lifetime; red crabs overcoming horrific obstacles on a daily basis; monarch butterflies taking four generations to cross a continent; and wildebeest, rising above the gaping jaws of ravenous crocodiles.
This is the story of creatures that are born into a life on the march, on the wing, on the run. “Great Migrations” airs every Sunday, starting on May 19 at 10PM, on GMA News TV Channel 11. The series runs for five episodes.
