Employer’s mom goes after OFW’s throat in Saudi Arabia

By GMA News

The mother of a migrant worker's employer in Saudi Arabia put a knife to her throat with the OFW escaping a more serious injury after she screamed.

According to a report on "State of the Nation", the OFW said the incident happened on July 17 when her employer’s mother got angry with her.

The OFW talked back as she had not been paid for seven months.

The mother then grabbed a bread knife and went for the OFW’s throat.

Fortunately, the OFW was able to scream for help.

The Embassy, meanwhile, has provided legal assistance to the OFW.

The OFW returned home to the Philippines on Monday and was met by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration officials.  —Mel Matthew Doctor/NB, GMA News
