Pinoy furniture designer's works showcased in Milan exhibit

Pinoy furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue's work were featured at the prestigious Salone Internazionale del Mobile exhibit in Milan last April 17 to 22.

 

Prospective buyers visited  Cobonpue's area  and viewed his designs on exhibit, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said in a news release on Tuesday.

 

"The Salone Internazionale del Mobile is one of the world's most prestigious furniture exhibits and is held every April at the huge Fiera Milano exhibition halls in Milan," the DFA said.

 

Philippine Ambassador to Italy Virgilio Reyes, Philippine Consul General to Milan Lourdes Tabamo and consulate staff were among the visitors to Cobonpue's exhibit area, the DFA added.

 

Tabamo hosted a dinner for Cobonpue and his team on the last night of the exhibit.

 

Participants to the annual exhibit have to go through rigorous evaluation to join and get a booth.

 

"There are other exhibition places all over Milan where various furniture and home accessories manufacturers display their wares but Fieramilano is where the best ones are given spaces and where buyers from all over the world visit to choose their wares," it added. - VVP, GMA News
