The remains of Vivian Camarota, a Filipina whose husband in Malaysia allegedly beat her to death, arrived in the Philippines on Monday night.

Vivian's family was very emotional as her remains arrived in a coffin at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, according to a report from "Unang Balita's" Mav Gonzales.

Jayson Camarota, Vivian's brother, said his sister's relationship with her Malaysian husband was going strong until she allegedly discovered that her husband having an affair.

He added the two have agreed to part ways but things became complicated when Vivian became pregnant with their third child.

Vivian was almost three months pregnant when she died on June 4 due to blunt abdominal trauma which she allegedly sustained after her husband hit her during a heated argument.

Her family first picked up the news through an unlikely channel: the social media site Facebook where Vivian's friends in Malaysia posted shoutouts about the incident in hopes of reaching her family.

In an earlier report, Jayson alleged that Vivian's husband did not want a third child.

Vivian's children are under the care of their Malaysian grandmother while her husband is now with authorities.

Family's request

The report said the victim's family asks only for one thing from Vivian's husband.

Vivian's remains will be brought back to her hometown in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija where she will be buried. - Andrei Medina, VVP, GMA News
