Brawl started by drunk Pinoy mars Philippine Festival in Tokyo

A merrymaking activity turned into a brawl when a drunk Filipino allegedly punched a performer during the annual Philippine Festival in Tokyo, Japan on October 1.

A video by Friolanita Merly showed festival-goers pushing, shoving and punching in a scuffle that escalated to a brawl during the Philippine Festival in Hibiya Park.

Fifty police officers responded to the incident, only to be led into a fight by some drunk Filipinos, according to a report by stringer Enrique Gonzaga.

Festival organizers have apologized to the Philippine embassy in Japan and local authorities and promised there would be no drinking involved in the next festivities.
