A Filipino-American was appointed Office of Personnel Management's (OPM's) White House Liaison by US President Joseph Biden.
Jason Tengco was among several appointees to the US OPM, which will work with the US Federal Government in enterprise human resources management.
Tengco recently worked as the Coalitions Department chief of staff in the Biden-Harris campaign.
He was also the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Outreach Lead on the transition team.
Before working with the Biden-Harris team, Tengco served as executive director of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations, National AAPI Outreach Director for the 2016 presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, and deputy director of the White House Initiative on AAPIs.
He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California (UC), Los Angeles and a master’s in public affairs from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy. — DVM, GMA News
