Pinoy seaman, other nCoV cases on Japanese ship, transferred to Yokohama hospital
The Filipino seafarer who was among those who tested positive for the novel coronavirus on board a Japanese cruise ship has been transferred to a hospital in Japan.
According to a tweet by GMA News' Cedric Castillo, the Group Corporate Communications Head of manning agency A. Magsaysay Inc. said that the Filipino was receiving "full care" in Yokohoma.
"The crew on MV Diamond Princess has been medically disembarked and is in a hospital in Yokohama, Japan for further testing, treatment, quarantine, and full care," MJ Formilleza said in a text message to GMA News.

The DFA said Filipino diplomats were in contact with the Filipinos on the ship.
"The embassy is in constant communication with the remaining Filipinos onboard and is closely coordinating with Japanese authorities to provide them all possible assistance," the DFA said in a statemment5
Japan on Tuesday quarantined the Diamond Princess cruise ship carrying 3,711 passengers after a former passenger was diagnosed with nCoV in Hong Kong.
On Wednesday morning, the Japanese health minister said that at least 10 people tested positive for nCoV.
The ten individuals—three each from Japan and Hongkong, two Australians, one American, and the Filipino—did not exhibit severe symptoms, according to Reuters.
The Philippine Consulate General in Japan said the 538 Filipinos on board the cruise ship, with the other passengers, would be quarantined for 14 days.
"The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo is closely and actively monitoring the welfare of Filipinos onboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship," the consulate general said in a statement.
