Filipinos abroad recovering from COVID-19 exceed 900 -DFA

The number of Filipinos abroad who have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) exceeded 900 on Tuesday after the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported 16 new ones, bringing the total to 905.

The DFA also reported 18 new infections, bringing the total confirmed cases to 2,635 with 1,402 patients still undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, the death toll remained at 328.

According to data from the DFA, eight more patients have recovered in the Asia Pacific region, bringing the total number of recoveries in the region to 335 while fatalities remained at two.

Patients undergoing treatment, meanwhile, number to 136.

Europe also reported eight new recoveries, bringing the total to 248 in the region. The death toll remained at 90 while patients undergoing treatment decreased to 457.

Meanwhile, no new cases were reported in the Middle East or Africa with fatalities remaining at 86, recoveries at 110, and patients undergoing treatment at 539.

The Americas also reported no new cases with fatalities remaining at 150, recoveries at 212, and patients undergoing treatment at 270. -MDM, GMA News
