Bodies of Filipina, husband recovered from Florida condo collapse

The body of the Filipina who went missing when the Champlain Towers South condo building in Surfside, Florida collapsed late last month has been found.

According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, the remains of 69-year-old Maria Obias-Bonnefoy and her 85-year-old husband Claudio Bonnefoy were recovered on July 2.

Earlier, Bonnefoy's family asked for help on social media after she and her husband went missing

At least 24 people are now confirmed dead, with 121 still listed as missing.

Search and rescue operations are set to resume after the partially collapsed building was demolished on Sunday night ahead of the possible arrival of Tropical Storm Elsa. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
