DFA: Four more Filipinos abroad test positive for COVID-19

Four more Filipinos abroad tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Friday, bringing the tally to 20,926, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Meanwhile, total recoveries and fatalities remained at 12,381 and 1,245, respectively.

There are also 7,300 Filipinos abroad still undergoing treatment.

Data from the DFA showed a total of 4,524 cases in Asia and the Pacific Region with 1,724 patients undergoing treatment. Recoveries and fatalities in the region were recorded at 2,766 and 34, respectively.

Meanwhile, 11,861 Filipinos have tested positive in the Middle East or Africa. Of this, 4,521 are active cases, 6,504 have recovered, and 836 have died.

Europe has also reported 3,554 confirmed cases with 940 patients undergoing treatment. The region has recorded 2,484 recoveries and 130 fatalities.

In the Americas, a total of 987 Filipinos have tested positive with 115 active cases. A total of 627 patients have recovered while 245 have died. — DVM, GMA News
