41 more Pinoys abroad get COVID-19; total tally reaches 23,156


Forty-one more Filipinos abroad were sickened with COVID-19, bringing the total tally to 23,156, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday said.

On Twitter, DFA also recorded 8,380 Filipinos overseas undergoing treatment for COVID-19.

 

 

Meanwhile, three new COVID-19 deaths were reported, raising the death toll among Filipinos in other countries to 1,385.

Further, 63 more Filipinos have recovered from the illness, increasing the total to 13,391.

In the Middle East and Africa, Filipinos abroad recorded a total of 12,973 COVID-19 cases with 6,568 recoveries, 5,480 active cases and 925 deaths.

Total cases in Asia and the Pacific region were at 5,736. Of the number, 1,877 are active cases, 74 are deaths and 3,425 are recoveries.

According to DFA, no new cases were registered in Europe and America.

In Europe, the number of infected Filipinos stood at 3,561  with 2,562  recoveries, 959  active cases and 130 fatalities.

In Americas, total COVID-19 cases were still at 1,036 cases. This includes 128 still undergoing treatment, 660 recoveries and 248 deaths.

Total COVID-19 cases among Filipinos living in Asia Pacific Region stood at 5,455, including 3,573 recoveries, 82 deaths and 1,800 active infections.

The Middle East and Africa recorded 13,014 total COVID-19 cases, with 925 fatalities, 5,493 active cases and 6,596 recoveries.—Consuelo Marquez/LDF, GMA News
