More job opportunities in Canada to be made available for Pinoys, says Bello

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said more job opportunities in Canada will be made available for Filipinos.

Bello is currently in Canada to sign bilateral labor agreements for jobs in Ontario and Yukon for Filipinos, according to a report on GMA News' Saksi on Tuesday.

Foreign workers in Canada may also be eligible for a resident visa, the report said.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Filipino healthcare workers who served at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic are set to benefit from the German government's COVID care bonus, the Department of Labor and Employment announced Tuesday. —KG, GMA News
