SM Prime Holdings Inc. on Wednesday said it is opening its first mall in the province of Bataan on Friday, May 19, 2023.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, SM Prime said SM City Bataan is the company’s 83rd mall in the Philippines.

The company said it now has 59 malls in the provinces and 24 malls in Metro Manila.

SM City Bataan is located at the provincial capital of Balanga City.

The new mall adds 46,000 square meters of gross floor area to the company’s mall portfolio.

“We expect further growth opportunities for the province and its people with more infrastructure projects waiting to be completed in Bataan. We hope that, through SM City Bataan, we will be able to provide everyone with more reasons to enjoy and stay in this beautiful province,” said SM Prime president Jeffrey Lim. — LA, GMA Integrated News
