Scattered rain expected over southern Luzon, Visayas areas

The Bicol, Mimaropa, and Eastern and Western Visayas Regions could expect cloudy conditions accompanied with scattered rain and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front, PAGASA predicted in a Monday morning forecast.

The northeast monsoon would meanwhile bring cloudy conditions and light rain over the Cagayan Valley Region, Aurora, and Quezon; as well as partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rain over the rest of Luzon.

The rest of the country would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers. 

Winds would be strong from the northeast over northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. Rough coastal waters could also be expected along all these areas.

Over the rest of Luzon and the Visayas, winds would be moderate from the northeast with moderate surrounding sea conditions.

Finally, winds over the rest of Mindanao light to moderate from the northeast with slight to moderate coastal waters. — DVM, GMA News
