Magnitude 5 aftershock hits Cotabato
A magnitude 5 aftershock hit Tulunan, Cotabato on Saturday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
The tectonic earthquake occurred at 6:52 a.m. and had its epicenter at 06.78°north, 124.98°east - 018 km south 65° east of Tulunan, the same epicenter of the magnitude 6.3 earthquake that rocked Cotabato on Wednesday night.
The aftershock had a depth of focus of 27 km.
PHIVOLCS executive director Undersecretary Renato Solidum said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV aired on GMA News TV that the aftershock was felt at intensity IV in Kidapawan City.

Solidum said Saturday's aftershock may still be followed by other aftershocks.
He said the strongest aftershock from the Cotabato quake occurred on Wednesday and had a magnitude of 5.5.
PHIVOLCS said damage is expected from Saturday's aftershock. —KG, GMA News
