Magnitude 5.3 quake jolts Davao Occidental

A 5.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Sarangani, Davao Occidental early Wednesday morning by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

With a depth of 72 kilometers, the tectonic quake occurred at 12:21 a.m.

Its epicenter was located 05.62°N, 125.45°E - 023 km N 08° E of Sarangani.

No damage was expected but aftershocks may occur, PHIVOLCS said. —BAP/KG, GMA News
