Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over Visayas, Mindanao

The northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with rains over the Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and the Davao Region, according to PAGASA on Saturday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate with, at times, heavy rains.

Cloudy skies with light rains may also prevail over the Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon due to the monsoon.

It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Despite this, the weather agency said the northeast monsoon has no significant impact on the affected areas.

The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 22.2°C at 6:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 29°C at 1:50 p.m. -MDM, GMA News
