Magnitude 5 earthquake hits offshore Cagayan —PHIVOLCS

A magnitude 5 earthquake jolted Dalupiri Island in Calayan, Cagayan on Monday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

PHIVOLCS said the tectonic earthquake hit Dalupiri Island at 1:34 p.m.

The quake had a depth of 54 km and its epicenter was located 19.12°N, 121.20°E - 001 km N 25° W of Dalupiri Island.

PHIVOLCS said Intensity III was felt in Luna, Apayao and Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.

Meanwhile II was felt in Lal-lo, Buguey, Lasam and Peñablanca, Cagayan.
