Magnitude 5 earthquake hits Sarangani
By GMA Integrated NewsA magnitude 5.0 earthquake rocked Sarangani on Sunday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The tectonic earthquake, which occurred at 12:23 p.m., had its epicenter at 05.65°N, 125.29°E - 021 km S 28° E of the municipality of Glan.
The quake had a depth of 27 km, PHIVOLCS said.
It was felt at the following intensities:
- Intensity III - Jose Abad Santos, and Sarangani, Davao Occidental; Glan, Sarangani; City of General Santos
- Intensity II - Don Marcelino, and Malita, Davao Occidental; Alabel, Kiamba, and Malapatan, Sarangani; Polomolok, South Cotabato

PHIVOLCS said no damage is expected but aftershocks may occur.
The earthquake was initially reported at magnitude 4.7 but PHIVOLCS later updated its bulletin saying it was a magnitude 5. —KG, GMA Integrated News
